(3) if we do not receive a scanned or faxed copy of the deposit slip for each lot Tips Electronic/Internet Banking, On-line Banking, call it what you like, but this facility can be extremely efficient or a nightmare. Points that should be remembered are: 1) It may not be instantaneous - some transfers can take up to three days and even longer over weekends and public holidays. Some members send unnecessary emails over what they consider long delays from payment to posting. 2) A common mistake is the failure to make a reference notation on the Banks transaction request form, or email with insufficient details to positively identify the payment. Quite often payments show-up with just a date and amount and the staff have to try and pin-point who the payment is from. This can be very time consuming and not always accurate considering the large numbers of auctions payments received each working day. 3) Be sure to include the item / lot number or some other positive means of identification on the banking request form as this will save many headaches for both parties. 4) If you send a on-line payment in another name, make sure that staff can link this payment to your purchase.
